ADHD & Trauma: Understanding the Overlap
ADHD is often viewed primarily as a difficulty with attention, but its impact extends far beyond focus. It can influence emotional regulation, executive functioning, relationships, self-esteem and daily life.
Individuals with ADHD are also more likely to experience chronic stress, rejection, adverse childhood experiences and trauma, which can further complicate symptoms and overall well-being.
Join Meagan Harrison, LCSW, ADHD-CCSP, and Summer Huni, M.Ed., APC, for a trauma-informed educational workshop exploring how ADHD and trauma intersect.
Eventbrite registration is available via the QR code or this link. I hope to see you there!

Workshop Reviews
"The information in ADHD in Adulthood was clear, explained professionally, and provided excellent examples of each topic presented. The information did not feel like something that's been done many times before, but with a fresh approach, that flowed well throughout the presentation. I enjoyed learning some new things and could easily have stayed to hear more if the presentation was longer. Excellent training!"
"Her workshops online make it easy for me to attend. They are also affordable and only an hour which are both great for my attention span. She's teaching me more about myself in a way that makes sense. So validating, thank you!"
"Meagan brings her knowledge of mental health to life when she speaks. You can hear the passion in her voice and that is what keeps me interested."
"Meagan knows her stuff when it comes to all things ADHD. From its history and evolution to today, she is fully aware that we are behind as a society. But she can still give you all kinds of tips that are quick and easy and just seem to fit."
"I've seen her present in person and WOW! She is amazing! Very engaging and relatable throughout the entire presentation. I appreciate her well thought out slides and her interaction with the audience is one of a kind."
"I've known Meagan for awhile and I've seen her grow into an awesome public speaker. She's not afraid to put herself in positions of growth where she takes what she has learned and immediately teaches it to others."
"This workshop was informative, engaging, and full of practical strategies that I can incorporate into my practice. Meagan explained ADHD concepts in a clear, compassionate, and relatable way. I left with a better understanding of ADHD and several useful tools that I feel confident putting into practice. I would highly recommend this workshop to anyone looking to better understand ADHD, whether for themselves, a loved one, or in a professional setting."
